Painted into a scooped bowl, these lemons look very real. This design was published in the Artist's Journal. Techniques include broken background preparation, wet into wet, drybrush, and glazing.
These chic pansies are drybrushed with a deer foot stippler. A rake or fur brush would do as well. Crackle and wet into wet techniques were used over a stained background to give it some "shabby" charm.
