background

Newsletters have been very sparse on this website, so no complaints of spamming, please!

In January I decided to reorganize our Folkhearts website. Once I started, there was no turning back. Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way of steady progress. Now that it is looking better, I am planning to put up more packet designs; so you will be able to complain then....

Design and Composition and the Floral Clock were two great seminars taken with JoSonja earlier in the year. I have taught the clock once to a very bright group of students so I'm planning to do it again, even though I did tell them I was going to charge a whole lot more for the next seminar! Just kidding of course. You will find that under "Classes/Home Seminars." The date for the next seminar will be picked soon, so let me know if you are interested.

In April we were gone on a three continent cruise for 20 days. Don't sign up for a 20 day cruise, it was just a bit long. However, I did learn a lot about art from the art auction which was held four separate days. We also attended at sea lectures on Rennaisance art. If you wish to read a little about our trip, you will find in on my blog page listed under "Etc."

Recently I enjoyed teaching two classes for the Utah Guild of Heritage Artists. That was a very nice trip, great bunch of ladies and hospitality!

That will be enough reading for this time. Oh yes, check out the Patterns/Interesting tab. Vicki

Coming up:

July, Houston Art Expo

August, Decorative Brushes

September, NCCC Retreat

You will find good pictures and links for these at Classes/Conference

"Of course you will say that I ought to be practical and try to paint the way they want me to paint. Well, I'll tell you a secret. I have tried and I have tried very hard, but I can't do it. I just can't do it! And that is why I'm just a little crazy." Author: Rembrandt Van Rijn, 1606-69

we should all be so crazy...
